A bit of whimsy

While I'm still trying to sort through the hundreds of photos I took in China, I thought I'd do a quick outfit post. There's nothing like combining prints to make me feel in a fun mood. I'm usually pretty conservative about putting patterns together, but something about cats and flowers just gets me. While in Shanghai I was staying at a hotel just down the street from Nanjing Road, the big pedestrian shopping road of China. One of the stores was Uniqlo and I just had to go in, given that Uniqlo isn't even available in Seattle. This top and bottom caught my eye, and with the sale price I just had to get them both. I haven't rocked capris in a while but these are too comfy.

Yes, I actually do need these glasses to see - one time my friend joked that I was a hipster before realizing that my frames are indeed prescription.

I also painted my toenails as an homage to all the watermelon we ate in China. I guess I was having fun feeling like I was a little kid again.

Top Uniqlo x lulu guinness
Pants Uniqlo x Celia Birtwell
Shoes J. Crew
Jade Bracelet from Beijing

Hope you all are having some fun with your summer outfits!
